CHINESE NARRATIVE GARDEN

In this part, I will show 3 experiments on the narrative gardens from different dimensions -- utensil, furniture, building. Although the three things have different relationships with people, I think we can treat anything in our life in an architectural thought. This is one of the most important things I learnt from the college.

Architects not only design buildings but also design life.

This project talks about that one thing can be very dense and complex when be seen from one side but will disappear when be seen from another side.

This spercific character of the space can make people reconsider the privacy of the architecture.When we think we are safe in a room maybe we are not.The glass curtain wall,the camera of the computer,they make the room totally transparent.

Just like the bird in the birdcage,it can be hidden in the dense 'natrure' which be constituted of different patches.However,from a different perspective,we can monitor it clearly.

Each specific layer of the birdcage is from one section of the nature.By using the basic building block——line and plane, I make each layer to be one kind of nature.

All the layers can be a dense natrue , but each layer also can be an independent nature , a section of the nature.
